Best Date Night Book
The Adventure Challenge
Couples Edition
One of the first in the now exceedingly popular date-night genre, The Adventure Challenge, Couples Edition, has 50 ideas to keep things interesting. All of the date ideas in the book are covered up by a gray box, with symbols indicating whether the date will be outdoors, if you’ll need transportation or a babysitter, whether it’s a day or night activity, how much time it takes, how much it costs, and more (so you have an idea of what you’re getting into), but the date will still be a surprise. Based on the symbols, you’ll scratch off to reveal the date beneath (like a scratch-off lottery ticket). While some of the dates can be a little cheesy, it’s a great way to spend intentional time connecting deeper and doing things with your lover you wouldn’t normally do. Plus, it can also be a great jumping-off point for other date ideas.

Best Vibrator for Vulvas
MysteryVibe
Legato
For most people with a vulva, it takes at least 20 minutes—if not more—to become aroused. Even when aroused, people with vulvas sometimes struggle to become wet. It’s for these people that MysteryVibe created Legato, “the world’s first flexible labia vibrator,” according to its website. The whole purpose of Legato is to stimulate not just the clitoris but the entire vulva, to increase both arousal and natural lubrication via the four motors in the vibrator. The Legato tapped into spots in my vulva that made me question whether I was squirting. (I was not, but it felt like it.) I used Legato alone and with a partner, and I have to say that when it comes to increased arousal and lubrication, Legato works. It can also be easily controlled by an app for hands-free fun. —Amanda Chatel

Best Lingerie Subscription Box
Adore Me
The Elite Box
Like many other subscription boxes, Adore Me has you begin by taking a style quiz and answering personal preferences about whether you prefer lingerie, sleepwear, bras and panties, or corsets, and what colors or patterns you like best. You’ll also answer questions about sizing—for the Elite Box they carry 30A-46DDD for bras and XS-4X for underwear. After taking the style quiz, Adore Me curates your box and sends three to five matching sets (of tops and bottoms) that range from $40 to $60 per set. Once you receive them, you get seven days to try them on at home. You keep what you love, and return the rest. I was extremely happy with the varied mix of super sexy lingerie, bras, and panties I received (and my partner was too).

A Special Vibrator for Couples
Bananapants
Bumpher Vibrating Cushion
Wearing a harness can be tons of fun, but sometimes it lacks some of the stimulation you might receive in other positions. That’s where the Bumpher comes in. It’s a vibrating cushion that attaches to the end of most dildos, so it’s compatible with just about every harness and strap. It’s designed to provide vibration for the penetrative party in couple play, and it does that job very well. —Eric Ravenscraft

Best for Date Night Ideas
Like The Adventure Challenge date-night book above, these sets include eight to 10 scratch-off cards that guide you from start to finish throughout the date without you (or your partner) knowing what’s coming next. They are a great way to get out of the normal routine and have a date that’s completely unknown to you both. The Day Trip bundle helps you discover local spots with fun activities—everything’s already planned so you can just get away from the norm. The Five Senses box is great for staying at home, where you’ll have different challenges with food, music, light, and physical touch to help connect in unexpected ways. The Red Means Go set is aimed at getting you out of the house on a dinner date (with a twist), then back into the bedroom for some sensual games, as the escalating cards are all about anticipation. (I liked them all, but the Red Means Go set felt the most complete, with a date night out and in to help connect.)
Alternative: The Adventure Challenge Quickies for $35. If you’re looking to spice up things in the bedroom without the pressure, the Quickies set has 30 scratch-off cards with various sexy challenges to get you trying new things or reminding you of your old favorites. Each card has an icon so you’ll know what is needed to complete the challenge beforehand without ruining the surprise.

Everyone Could Use a Little Magic
Magic Wand
Mini
The Magic Wand Mini is iconic for a reason. This handheld vibrating wand provides powerful stimulation over a large surface area. It gets around three hours of battery life, not that your giftee will be using it for that long in one go (maybe!). The Mini is easier to hold and use compared to the original, larger Magic Wand, and its buttons are convenient to reach. —Eric Ravenscraft

Our Favorite Suction Toy
Satisfyer
Pro 2 Gen 3 Air Pulse Toy
Naming your sex toy the “Satisfyer” is a bold move, but it’s a moniker that the Satisfyer Pro 2 Gen 3 earns. It’s a suction toy, which means it uses a little mouth to produce the suction and tapping sensation provided during oral sex. It’s a very different kind of sex toy than the traditional vibrator.
It has an easy-to-grip handle and convenient buttons along the back for simple control. The Gen 3 is covered in silicone, which is much nicer than the ABS plastic of previous models. It also comes with attachments for either suction sensation or a more typical vibration pattern. It’s whisper-quiet and safe to use in the bath, so you (or your gift recipient) can get that me-time in. —Eric Ravenscraft

A Harness for Couple Play
Lovehoney
Unisex Harness Briefs
No matter your genitalia, sometimes it’s fun for you or a partner to use a harness. Traditional straps can be intimidating and uncomfortable—all buckles and belts and metal. But Lovehoney’s Unisex Harness looks and wears just like a pair of briefs. Just slide the dildo into the solid O-ring in the front-facing pocket. It’s discreet, comfy to wear, and fits a wide variety of bodies—and it works great with the Bumpher (see above) for extra stimulation. —Eric Ravenscraft
Others Tested
Aurelia Lingerie Subscription Box for $85 (Monthly): A monthly lingerie subscription box is sure to keep things spicy. This small, Canadian-based lingerie retailer has human-curated lingerie subscription boxes and size-inclusive lingerie (they carry bra sizes A-M and panties XS-4XL). When beginning the lingerie subscription service, you fill out a style quiz that asks you a series of questions about style preferences and a human stylist creates a unique box for you or your lover. The box also comes with a guide on how to measure your cup size, with troubleshooting tips, a measuring tape, and a zippered net case for washing the delicates.
Underclub Subscription Box for $35 (Underwear): With Underclub, you can give both a practical and sexy gift to your lover every month. Subscribers can choose between a bralette set with a matching top and bottom or two pairs of underwear bottoms delivered each month. When you sign up, you’ll be asked a series of questions about your personal preferences and a stylist will curate an underwear box for you. The bra sizes range from XS to 2XL, 30 to 42 inches in band size, and A-DD.
Lelo Sona 2 Cruise for $112: We once called this “the Cadillac of suction toys” in our Best Clitoral Suction Toys guide. It’s small and discreet, and can be as gentle or as intense as you like. It has an elegant, curvy body with chrome accents that make it stylish enough to look good on your nightstand. The “Cruise” part of the name refers to Lelo’s Cruise Control technology, which makes the toy ramp up intensity when you press it hard against your body. —Eric Ravenscraft
Lovense Gravity for $144: Vibrators can provide a lot of fulfilling stimulation, but one thing most of them lack is thrust. This vibrator from Lovense straddles the line between vibrator and sex machine (which is why it earns a spot in our Best Sex Machines guide), with a motor for automated thrust as well as vibration. It comes with a suction-cup mount, and it can also be controlled through the company’s robust mobile app for easier remote control or to customize thrust and vibration patterns. —Eric Ravenscraft
Dame Pom Flexible Vibrator for $95: A mainstay in our Best Vibrators guide, the Dame Pom Flexible Vibrator is a little powerful handheld vibe that’s also gorgeous and intuitively designed. It has the power you’d expect from a bullet vibe, but the added silicone body diffuses the vibrations through a broad area for a unique experience. Not only is it easy to hold and operate one-handed, but it also fits neatly in the palm of most hands. All the buttons are right where your fingers land naturally. —Eric Ravenscraft
MysteryVibe Crescendo 2 for $230: This flexible, bendable vibrator has six separate motors, all of which can be customized and controlled from its included app. But what sets it apart is its semi-rigid jointed body. You can straighten it out to use for more direct penetration, or curl it up, similar to how one might bend their fingers. It won’t lock into position so some resistance can bend it right back, but it’s handy for hitting some of those more hard-to-reach spots on and in your body. —Eric Ravenscraft
Lelo Personal Moisturizer Water-Based Lube for $22: This water-based lube tops our Best Lubes guide. It’s a bit pricier per ounce than others, but it’s worth it. Many lubes get sticky or thick pretty quickly, but Lelo’s manages to stay fluid and smooth throughout playtime. It’s also paraben- and glycerine-free, which is great for people with skin sensitivities. —Eric Ravenscraft
Lelo Hex Condoms for $23: We’ve tested a bunch of condoms, and the Lelo Hex was our top pick. The same company that makes some of our favorite sex toys also makes very sturdy condoms. They have a stylish hexagonal pattern that Lelo claims makes the condoms sturdier, and they didn’t break as easily as others in our tests. It’s also one of the most comfortable condoms I’ve worn, with the hexagon pattern helping to add a bit of grip to prevent slippage. —Eric Ravenscraft
